Emark completes final step in merger to become Wunderman Thompson

Marketing technology performance company, Emark, today announces the agency will rebrand as Wunderman Thompson. This completes Emark’s integration with the global agency network following the acquisition of the business in 2018.

Emark will now join forces locally with existing Wunderman Thompson teams, based in Amsterdam, Haarlem and Weesp, to offer seamless services and support, including communications, commerce, consultancy, CRM, CX, data, production, and technology, to provide end-to-end solutions that deliver inspirational work.


Maagdenberg will lead the technology arm of the newly merged agency alongside Gertjan Schaefers, CEO of Wunderman Thompson Commerce, Netherlands. Senior management and existing teams will remain the same, and clients will experience the consistent commitment to customer satisfaction that they have come to expect from Emark, across a broader range of services. By working with a single company instead of several to meet their digital needs, they will also be able to simplify integrations, billing, and account management.


In addition to enabling customers to cut complexity and accelerate their digital transformation journey, this final step in the Emark and Wunderman Thompson merger will also benefit employees. “Our workforce will be able to take advantage of greater career and personal development opportunities,” commented Maagdenberg. “The team is already enjoying the ability to work from any Wunderman Thompson office, which adds even more flexibility to their hybrid working arrangements.”
